The starting hourly wage is $31.50, influenced by various factors such as the applicant's skills, qualifications, relevant degrees and certifications, previous job experience, market data, and other pertinent elements.

Additional compensation may include eligibility for performance-based bonuses or commissions on completed sales.

AmeriGas, the largest propane distributor in the United States, has immediate openings for safety-conscious, customer-oriented Service Technicians.

Key Responsibilities:

As a local Service Technician, you will be essential in installing and maintaining propane tanks for our clients while upholding the highest standards of safety and customer satisfaction.


Specific Duties Include:
  • Safely operate a propane service vehicle equipped with a lift gate and boom along designated service routes.
  • Conduct repairs on existing propane tanks for both commercial and residential clients.
  • Install new propane tanks and systems for commercial and residential customers.
  • Occasionally perform Delivery Representative duties, such as delivering bulk or canister propane.
  • Execute all daily tasks safely by adhering to federal and state regulations, as well as AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures.
  • Consistently utilize required Personal Protective Equipment.
  • Depending on operational needs, work shifts ranging from 8 to 12 hours.

Requirements:

All Service Technicians must possess a valid Class A or B CDL with hazmat and tanker endorsements, along with an acceptable driving record. Candidates must successfully complete a DOT physical, drug test, and background check. A willingness to work outdoors in various weather conditions and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs are essential.
