AmeriGas Partners, a leading propane distributor, is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a Service Technician, you will play a vital role in installing and repairing propane tanks for our customers while ensuring the highest standards of safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate a propane service vehicle with lift gate and boom along provided service routes
- Perform repairs on existing propane tanks for commercial and residential customers
- Install new propane tanks/systems for commercial and residential customers
- On an as-needed basis, perform Delivery Representative functions, such as delivering bulk or canister propane
- Perform all daily functions in a safe manner by adhering to all federal and state codes and regulations in addition to all AmeriGas Safety and Operations Policies and Procedures
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must have a valid CDL A or B license
- Hazmat and Tanker Endorsements required or willing to obtain
- Must have a minimum of 6 months CDL driving experience with a clean driving record
- Must have previous employment experience working with hand tools
- Previous HVAC, Plumbing, Maintenance, or Mechanical experience preferred
- Propane industry experience is a plus
- Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to load/unload 50-pound cylinders (up to 200/day) and pull 75-pound hoses that are 150 feet or more
- Satisfactory completion of a DOT physical, drug test and background check
- Hourly rate: $31.50
- Average of 40-50 hours weekly
- Overtime pay after 40 hours worked at time and a half
- $5,000 sign-on bonus – $2,500 paid after 90 days and $2,500 paid after 1 year
- $2,500 employee referral program
- Paid via direct deposit bi-weekly
