About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Specialist to join our team at Boys and Girls Clubs of Metro Denver, Inc. As a key member of our Mental Health and Impact Teams, you will provide trauma-informed care to our Club Members, addressing their emotional, mental, and behavioral health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and lead individual conversations and social emotional learning small groups for members addressing issues/topics including, but not limited to, anger management, anxiety, grief and loss, sexuality, and self-esteem.
  • Advocate for services and provide goal-oriented individual and family support, crisis intervention, conflict resolution, and mediation.
  • Create positive and supportive relationships with Club Members, identifying and targeting areas of need within Clubs based on meaningful relationships.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based programming to meet Club Members' developmental needs.

Requirements
  • At least two years of experience serving youth, planning and implementing youth programs, and developing prevention and intervention strategies targeting at-risk members and their families.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Work from a CSWE-accredited college or university.
  • Ability to pass a drug test, including screening for marijuana, criminal and driving records investigations, and reference checks.
  • A valid driver's license and ability to be insured under the company's insurance policy.
