Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse - Contingency Pool

Penn State Health is seeking a skilled and experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Contingency Pool team. As a Float LPN / LVN, you will have the opportunity to work in various Academic Practice Division (APD) Medical Group offices across South-Central PA, including Dauphin, Cumberland, Lancaster, York, and Berks counties.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse of the Contingency Pool will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks, including rooming patients, conducting Point-of-Care Testing, performing phlebotomy and injections, administering medications, and completing asynchronous administrative work. You will work with a diverse patient population, ranging from pediatrics to geriatrics, and will be expected to meet the expectations of the assigned office.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:
  • Current licensure to practice as a licensed practical nurse in the state of employment or a multistate LPN license through the interstate Nurse Licensure Compact
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required prior to completion of orientation
