Position Overview: Academic Success Manager

The Academic Success Manager plays a pivotal role in executing a thorough educational initiative aimed at fulfilling the academic and STEAM requirements of our youth members. This initiative provides enriching educational experiences for Club participants, irrespective of their attendance frequency.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Gather and analyze resources, data, and trends affecting youth education.
  • Facilitate the BGCA POWER Hour program to assist with homework.
  • Evaluate data and devise strategies to tackle educational trends.
  • Create support mechanisms for members with diverse academic needs.
  • Foster relationships with educational officials and community organizations.
  • Organize and execute events that promote academic enrichment.
  • Engage parents and guardians in their children's educational journeys.
  • Recruit and oversee volunteers for educational programs.
  • Design and implement a summer learning initiative.
  • Ensure program operations align with organizational policies and procedures.
Leadership Responsibilities:

Build connections with educational institutions, families, and other agencies to enhance members' academic success.

  • Provide mentorship and training for team members.
Strategic Contributions:
  • Participate in strategic planning for educational initiatives.
  • Identify and recommend enhancements for programs and systems.
Resource Oversight:
  • Manage budget allocations effectively.
  • Oversee administrative and operational frameworks.
Partnership Building:

Establish collaborations with Clubs, consultants, and vendors to enhance program integrity.

Marketing and Outreach:

Enhance the visibility of Boys & Girls Clubs and its educational offerings.

Qualifications:
  • Proven ability to design and manage educational programs.
  • Strong communication skills with a diverse audience.
  • Highly driven and committed to educational excellence.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required.
  • At least two years of experience in a related area is preferred.
Supervisory Duties:

Supervise Academic Success and STEAM Youth Development Professionals.

Work Schedule:

Regular hours from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday during the academic year, with flexible hours in the summer, and occasional weekend and travel commitments.
