Account Specialist Job Description

Aon is seeking a highly skilled Account Specialist to join our team. As an Account Specialist, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional client service and ensuring the timely and accurate processing of client requests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Resolve client inquiries and issues related to Aon Client Services (ACS) service delivery, including output delivery, invoice inquiries, and other client requests.
  • Identify and retrieve relevant compliance documentation necessary to process renewals, invoices, and other ACS deliverables.
  • Perform necessary activities to initiate renewals, process invoices, issue auto IDs, process surplus lines, and resolve premium account discrepancies.
  • Mentor and assist junior staff with complex account functions.
  • React to field office requests via Broker Desktop tools in a timely manner.
  • Ensure the accuracy and currency of the system of record (Bridge & Broker Desktop) to ensure outputs and client deliverables meet guidelines and policy detail.
  • Liaise with outsourced providers to manage and ensure the timeliness and quality of outputs.
  • Upload, index, or attach documents in the Document Management System.
  • Perform pre-renewal account reviews with the field office to meet client expectations related to timelines and accuracy of deliverables.
  • Help colleagues troubleshoot and resolve client issues within the ACS team.
  • Upon policy placement, create policy summaries, schedules of insurance, calculate premium allocations, and provide quality review of all post-placement outputs.
  • Manage and monitor special client projects.
  • Participate in office and client visits.
Requirements:
  • Commercial insurance experience is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with external and internal clients on client servicing activities.
  • Understanding of operation processes and methodologies, with a proven ability to work effectively with moderate guidance and supervision.
  • Strong Excel skills to import/export data, strong Word skills, and some v-lookup experience is a plus.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced output-driven environment that requires staff members to multitask, react quickly, and perform tasks that are not routine.
  • Maintain an appropriate insurance brokers license or obtain within 6 months of hire.
