Job Overview

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to spearhead the design and development of advanced communication solutions for Fenix Group, Inc. This role involves overseeing the entire lifecycle of electrical hardware design, from initial concept through to full-scale production.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design Leadership: Direct the Electrical Hardware Design processes for our innovative Battlefield of ThingsTM communication systems, including LTE and 5G technologies.
  • Preliminary Design: Engage in early design activities such as architecture development, block diagram formulation, and conducting design reviews.
  • Detailed Design: Execute in-depth analog and digital design tasks, which encompass simulations, component selection, schematic capture, and prototype testing.
  • PCB Layout: Conduct PCB layout design, ensuring compliance with high-speed data, EMI, ESD, and signal integrity standards.
  • Testing and Troubleshooting: Provide support for troubleshooting during manufacturing and assist in product launch efforts.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively across various disciplines to ensure efficient product development.
  • Project Management: Independently manage project assignments, adhering to timelines and governance policies.
Qualifications:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering is required; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering.
  • Proven track record in designing for complex environmental conditions.
  • Strong proficiency in advanced computer applications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarity with design, prototyping, and manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with Altium for design and documentation is essential.

Skills:

  • Expertise in Altium Schematic Capture and PCB design.
  • Experience with circuit simulation software such as SPICE.
  • Proficient in MATLAB and rapid prototype design.
  • Strong background in hardware testing and validation.
Additional Requirements:
  • U.S. Citizenship is mandatory.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret level security clearance.
  • Willingness to travel locally, with occasional overnight trips.
