New Graduate Residency Program

Cambridge Health Alliance is excited to offer a 12-month New Graduate Residency Program for recent nursing graduates. This comprehensive program is designed to support the transition of new nurses into clinical practice, providing a coordinated and systematic approach to onboarding, orienting, and transitioning new graduate nurses into clinical practice.

Program Highlights
  • Classroom time with education through various methods, including lecture, group discussion, case studies, evidence-based projects, and assignments
  • Clinical time with unit-based orientation and one-on-one preceptor guidance

The program will provide a clear career path into nursing, enabling residents to transition from a beginner nurse to a competent professional nurse providing safe and quality care. As a newly graduated RN in our Nurse Residency Program, you will receive the education and support necessary to develop the judgment, skill, and knowledge needed to become a high-caliber nurse.

Requirements
  • Bachelor or Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited school of nursing (must be within 12 months of graduation)
  • Prior experience or senior practicum required for Emergency
  • Application, including department of interest
  • Clinical exemplar piece, Casey-Fink Readiness for Practice survey, and a copy of your final transcript

New Grad Residency Cohort will start orientation on November 18, 2024. A $10,000 New Grad Retention Bonus will be paid 3 years after starting the program (2 years after residency program is finished). Prorated for part-time.
