Behavioral Health Professional Opportunity

VitalCore Health Strategies is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Professional to join our team at the Weber County Correctional Facility in Ogden, Utah.

Job Summary

The Behavioral Health Professional will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide proactive and collaborative approaches in serving the patient population in a correctional environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide crisis stabilization, complete intakes and on-going evaluations, and provide consultation to in-house and community services.
  • Participate in monthly behavioral health calls, work collaboratively with the medical team to best determine overall treatment for each individual.
  • Perform risk assessment of inmates; coordinate of care with interdisciplinary team including medical staff, community providers, psychiatric hospitals and corrections; and discharge planning.
  • Assist in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects.
  • Provide the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records and reports.
  • Utilize clinical skills such as prioritizing treatment needs; crisis management; brief clinical interventions including CBT and Motivational Interviewing.
Requirements
  • Graduation from a Masters level program.
  • Minimum of one year employment in a social work capacity in a public or private agency or equivalent.
  • Must receive a satisfactory background investigation report.
