Job Summary and Qualifications

The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC) is responsible for ensuring and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and overseeing all functions within the unit/department during the assigned shift.

In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and assesses nursing care in alignment with established policies and procedures, serves as a resource for staff, and exemplifies a commitment to the organization's vision, mission, and values to foster an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that enhance overall departmental performance.


Key Responsibilities:
Facilitates admission and discharge processes to ensure efficient patient flow and high-quality, patient-centered care.

Engages in the continuous evaluation of the quality of patient care services delivered in the unit, in partnership with other management team members.

Collaborates with subject matter experts and other managers to cultivate a teamwork-oriented environment that promotes improved outcomes and service.

Embraces a patient-first philosophy and participates in service recovery when necessary.

Supports the facility's initiatives to enhance engagement by implementing current nursing strategies, including employee rounding, hourly rounds, and other programs.

Provides input related to interviewing, selecting, and training new personnel.

Recommends and executes action plans, including training and development, conflict resolution, personnel policy adherence, performance evaluations, and/or disciplinary measures to ensure a competitive organization.

Assists with staff scheduling and manages all practical aspects of staffing in accordance with patient care requirements and established productivity standards.
Ensures proper inventory management and assists with the oversight of supplies and equipment.

Qualifications:
Must hold a valid Florida Registered Nurse license in compliance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure. If a compact license is held, an active Florida RN license is required within 60 days of hire.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
NIH Stroke Scale certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
Registered Nurse with an Associate Degree or Bachelor's Degree.
