Job Summary and Qualifications
We are looking for a dedicated Clinical Nurse to join our Med/Surg/Progressive Care Float Pool.
Your role will involve providing clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive exceptional and efficient care in our medical surgical and telemetry/progressive care settings.
We are a supportive team seeking a remarkable addition who shares our commitment to meaningful patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for Med/Surg, Telemetry, and Progressive Care patients.
- Educate patients and families on medications and treatment plans.
- Maintain and review patient records, including test results and examinations.
- Administer medications according to physician directives.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Florida Registered Nurse license or appropriate compact licensure (active FL RN license required within 90 days of hire).
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- Previous experience in an acute care environment is strongly preferred.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification is required.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification is required (with a 6-month grace period from hire date).
- NIHSS certification is also required (with a 6-month grace period from hire date).
- Strong critical thinking, service excellence, and interpersonal communication skills are essential.
HCA Florida Northside Hospital is a 280+ bed facility offering advanced medical services, including interventional stroke care, spine care, orthopedics, and 24-hour emergency services. We are recognized as a Comprehensive Stroke Center and an Accredited Chest Pain Center.
