Job Title: Store Manager

The Store Manager plays a crucial role in the success of Tech-Nique Partners, reporting directly to the Director of Retail. This position requires close collaboration with supporting departments to ensure the efficient operation of the store.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Recruit and develop a team of professional sales associates, providing excellent customer service and visual presentation, while managing inventory, administration, and ensuring security compliance and operating costs are controlled.
  • Motivate employees to achieve company goals and surpass their personal sales targets.
  • Ensure all employees comply with company policies, practices, and procedures.
Job Duties:
  • Ensure qualified sales associates are recruited and communicate all pertinent information to the Payroll department before hiring.
  • Manage store operations within the predetermined budget, including salary, inventory, expenses, and other costs.
  • Establish weekly sales targets for the store and personal sales goals, ensuring objectives are met.
  • Ensure sales associates provide professional salesmanship according to company policies and procedures, achieving maximum sales and providing exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Adhere to and enforce loss prevention and security policies, credit policies, and procedures, including credit cards, check approvals, employee purchases, deposit logs, return, and exchange policies.
  • Ensure merchandise is properly ticketed and attractively displayed, appointing team members responsible for each area.
  • Maintain a neat and well-organized stockroom, ensuring merchandise is up-to-date, transfers are properly executed, and controls damages and mixes according to company policies.
  • Communicate stock replenishment needs to the Director of Retail, Inventory, and Merchandising departments.
  • Implement company training programs effectively to train and develop personnel.
  • Evaluate personnel annually and conduct six-monthly appraisals.
  • Enforce and comply with all store/company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Related work experience: two years of selling experience in retail or the service industry.
  • Physical requirements: able to bend, climb ladders, lift, and move boxes up to 35 pounds.
  • Other qualifications:
  • Strong leadership and ability to motivate people to achieve sales objectives.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Service-oriented.
  • Fashion-oriented.
  • Willing to work retail hours.
