Job Title: PLC Technician

Hoffman & Hoffman Inc is seeking a skilled PLC Technician to join our team. As a PLC Technician, you will be responsible for the start-up and commissioning of PLC and DDC control systems by following commissioning procedures and guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize and prioritize commissioning activities for DDC and PLC projects.
  • Ensure proper system operability by verifying system functionality with the HBT engineer.
  • Direct electrical subcontractors to ensure proper installation methods and verify installation.
  • Maintain project documentation, including wiring diagrams, sequence changes, and check-out documentation.
  • Complete commissioning of DDC and PLC projects by organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling start-up activities.
  • Communicate project information to project managers and construction coordinators.
  • Achieve financial objectives by reviewing job labor cost reports and initiating corrective actions.
  • Maintain industry technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing industry publications.
  • Contribute to team effort by leading by example and sharing technical information with associates.
Preferred Skills and Abilities:
  • Knowledge of HVAC control theory and applications.
  • Proficient with Allen Bradley Studio 5000 or Siemens TIA Portal.
  • Inductive Automation Ignition Core or Gold certification.
  • Experience with electronics and basic electrical circuits.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and unsupervised.
  • Strong communication and interactive skills.
  • Technical military training.
