About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team at Aetos Systems, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to work in a multi-disciplinary team that plays a key role in supporting national defense through ground testing of air and space systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply engineering principles to electrical equipment sizing, troubleshooting, circuit protection, and arc flash analysis of low and medium voltage equipment.
  • Generate risk assessments, work instructions, and other engineering documentation in support of testing.
  • Collaborate with a team of engineers, including controls, instrumentation, design, facility data analysis, and modeling/simulating engineers to ensure reliable operation and ability to meet future test needs.
  • Oversee installation, operation, sustainment, and troubleshooting of major equipment and systems such as large motors, compressors, electrical switchgear, over-current protection, transformers, PLCs, relays, and/or solid-state variable frequency systems.
Requirements
  • B.S. degree in electrical engineering from an accredited university and a minimum of three to seven years of relevant and applicable experience.
  • Current United States Citizenship is required.
  • Active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of 2 years of developmental experience such as practical work experience in relevant types of engineering such as systems startup, field engineering, or plant operations/maintenance in large industrial plants, utilities, process plants, or other engineering/construction firms.
  • Educational concentration and/or work experience in low, medium, or high voltage power distribution.
  • Technical knowledge of engineering systems, engineering calculations, applications of engineering methods and construction methods and materials, and application of computer aided engineering (CAE)/computer aided design (CAD) tools to engineering problems.
