Job Overview

Position Summary:

The Slot Maintenance Specialist II plays a crucial role in diagnosing and repairing a diverse range of slot machines with minimal supervision. This position requires a deep understanding of both mechanical and electronic components of slot machine operations, and the ability to mentor less experienced technicians.


Key Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:

  • Assumes supervisory responsibilities in the absence of the Slot Technician Supervisor as needed.
  • Coordinates and leads slot floor transitions and shift assignments.
  • Provides guidance to Slot Technicians during assigned shifts.
  • Capable of managing special projects as designated.
  • Ensures the seamless operation of all slot-related equipment.
  • Maintains slot machines and their components in optimal working condition.
  • Possesses the skills to perform specialized roles such as Electronic Technician, Bench Technician, or Parts Technician.
  • Safeguards all assets within the slot department.
  • Adheres to all relevant gaming regulations and internal policies.
  • Engages with guests to foster positive guest relations.
  • Completes additional tasks as assigned by the Slot Technician Supervisor.
  • Demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of slot machinery.
  • Maintains a consistent, professional work ethic.
  • Responsible for the cleanliness and sanitation of work and public areas.
  • Performs duties regularly and complies with all gaming regulations.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • Participates in training seminars as required.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

(Relevant education and experience may be considered interchangeable on a year-for-year basis.)

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Strong communication skills and basic computer proficiency are essential. A minimum of two years' experience in a Slot Technician role is necessary, along with at least three years of experience in electronics.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must obtain and maintain all necessary licenses and certifications as mandated by federal, state, and gaming authorities.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • Must pass a drug screening.
  • Candidate must be at least twenty-one years of age.
  • Availability to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts is essential.

  • Familiarity with applicable federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Strong leadership and motivational capabilities.
  • Understanding of electronics at the circuit board level.
  • Technical expertise and training in slot machine operations.
  • Proficiency in electronic and computer programming.
