The Helicopter Maintenance Technician (A&P) position at 77 Consultants offers a remarkable opportunity for skilled mechanics to contribute to our aviation maintenance division. As an A&P Specialist focusing on helicopters, you will be essential in ensuring the integrity and functionality of helicopter airframes, powerplants, and related systems, thereby guaranteeing safe and dependable helicopter operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on helicopter airframes, powerplants, and various systems.
- Perform thorough inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on helicopter structures, rotor systems, engine components, as well as electrical and avionics systems.
- Identify and rectify mechanical and electrical problems promptly to minimize helicopter downtime.
- Carry out routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and component evaluations.
- Ensure that all maintenance work adheres to applicable regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company protocols.
- Maintain precise and comprehensive maintenance records, documenting work completed, parts utilized, and inspections performed.
- Work collaboratively with fellow maintenance personnel to prioritize and efficiently complete maintenance assignments.
- Stay informed about industry developments and technological innovations in helicopter maintenance.
- Follow safety protocols and practices consistently, fostering a secure working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Qualifications:
- Possess a valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Mechanic certification.
- Have a minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an A&P Mechanic specializing in helicopters.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of helicopter airframes, powerplants, rotor systems, and related electrical and avionics systems.
- Exhibit the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot intricate mechanical and electrical issues in helicopters.
- Experience in conducting both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on helicopters, adhering to manufacturer guidelines and approved maintenance procedures.
- Familiarity with relevant FAA regulations and the capability to ensure compliance with all applicable rules and requirements.
- Possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and thorough maintenance records.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with team members and other stakeholders.
- Commitment to safety and a solid understanding of safety protocols in helicopter maintenance.
- Flexibility to operate in a dynamic environment and adapt to shifting priorities and schedules.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, ensuring timely completion of maintenance tasks and safe helicopter operations.
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
