Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Department Coordinator to join our Retail team at HomeGoods. As a key member of our store operations, you will be responsible for promoting a Highly Satisfied customer experience, driving customer loyalty, and leading a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Promote a Highly Satisfied customer experience through excellent customer service and a positive store environment.
  • Drive customer loyalty through programs and initiatives, ensuring a strong customer retention rate.
  • Address customer concerns and issues promptly, providing a resolution-focused approach.
  • Update Associates on current customer experience feedback, goals, and company initiatives, ensuring a cohesive team effort.
  • Train and mentor all Associates on Policies and Procedures, ensuring a high level of knowledge and compliance.
  • Provide recognition and constructive feedback on cashier performance, promoting a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Maintain and monitor cash controls, including change fund, to ensure accurate and efficient transactions.
  • Adhere to all labor laws and meal and break period policies, ensuring a fair and safe work environment.
  • Assign registers and coordinate breaks to ensure optimized coverage at the frontline and sales floor.
  • Audit and approve paperwork, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain cleanliness, recovery, and organizational standards throughout the frontline, promoting a positive store image.
  • Monitor all frontline equipment, communicating issues to management to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Execute and adhere to Company directives, ensuring a cohesive and compliant team effort.
  • Maintain and uphold merchandising standards within the queue-line, promoting a visually appealing store environment.
  • Adhere to all operational, merchandise, and loss prevention policies and procedures, ensuring a secure and efficient store operation.
  • Ensure proper and timely handling of damages and Mark out of Stock, minimizing losses and maximizing sales.
  • Promote a safe environment, reporting any type of safety hazard in the store, and ensuring a safe work environment for all Associates.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalent degree preferred.
  • Available to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Able to work as a team member, promoting a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with Associates and customers.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a focus on providing a positive and personalized experience.
  • Able to lift heavy merchandise with/without reasonable accommodations.
  • Able to train and provide direction to others, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
  • Able to run a register/handle money, with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Experience as a coordinator or previous retail/supervisory experience preferred.

This position has a starting pay range of $14.00 to $14.50 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
