Senior Claims Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Specialist to play a critical role in resolving injury claims efficiently. As a key member of our team, you will investigate complex and high-risk claims, consulting with various stakeholders to determine coverage, liability, and claim value.

About the Role
  • This is a hybrid role, requiring you to report to an office for important meetings, training, and collaboration, while also having the flexibility to work remotely.
  • You will have the opportunity to work with a supportive team and receive continued coaching to help you grow in your role.
Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate complex and high-risk claims, gathering information from various stakeholders, including police officers, medical professionals, claimants, and other parties involved in the accident.
  • Determine coverage, liability, and claim value based on gathered information, utilizing your analytical skills and knowledge of insurance policies.
  • Consult with stakeholders to negotiate settlements and resolve claims efficiently.
Requirements
  • Five years of relevant work experience, with two years in claims handling, preferably in the insurance industry.
  • Two years in claims handling and a bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Four years of relevant work experience, with two years in claims handling and an associate degree, or equivalent experience.
Preferred Skills
  • Ability to build rapport and successfully negotiate settlements.
  • Strong negotiation and customer service skills, with a focus on delivering excellent service to our customers.
  • Excellent organization and problem-solving skills, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in analyzing coverage and liability, with a strong understanding of insurance policies and procedures.
  • Ability to direct the use of discovery tools, such as interrogatories, depositions, and production of documents, to support claim resolution.
Compensation and Benefits
  • $63,000 - $85,000 yearly salary, with opportunities for gainshare bonuses based on company performance.
