Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified individual to take on the role of Project Manager - Electrical Construction. This position involves overseeing and managing all facets of one or multiple projects. You will supervise and guide a team of Foremen, Team Leaders, and Field Personnel to ensure that safe and healthy working conditions are upheld at job sites. You will also provide recommendations and conduct training to foster a culture of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage jobsite Foremen, Leaders, Crew, and Assistant Project Managers to ensure project scope is met while effectively communicating expectations to team members.
  • Develop and maintain project budgets, timelines, schedules, and monthly billings for contract and AIA projects. Monitor adherence to budgets and implement cost control measures as necessary.
  • Oversee all Submittals, RFIs, Change Orders, and project Closeouts.
  • Conduct regular site visits to manage operations and ensure safety compliance.
  • Enhance productivity by coordinating manpower needs with the Director of Operations and Foremen.
  • Act as the company liaison with general contractors and subcontractors to facilitate project goals.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, suppliers, and vendors to achieve project objectives.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing department to ensure timely procurement of project materials and equipment.
  • Work closely with the accounting department to provide accurate financial information for job cost reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is required, along with five to ten years of relevant industry experience.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience with BIM and estimating is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs) and Trimble software is beneficial.

Skills and Abilities

  • In-depth knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA70E.
  • Strong contract review and analysis skills, with the ability to interpret blueprints and work orders.
  • Effective managerial and administrative capabilities, with a proven track record as a team leader and problem solver.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications and project management software.
  • Ability to operate company vehicles with both manual and automatic transmissions.
  • This position is safety-sensitive, requiring strict adherence to safety protocols.

Working Conditions

  • Jobsite visits may involve lifting and moving items weighing 50 pounds or more.
  • Ability to work 8 hours per day, totaling 40 hours per week.

Special Requirements

  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and maintain a satisfactory driving record.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
  • Must pass background checks, drug screenings, and physical assessments as mandated.
