Job Overview

RSM US LLP is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our State and Local Sales and Use Tax team. As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional sales and use tax advisory and planning services to multi-state companies, as well as continuing business development of our State and Local tax practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on sales and use tax matters to clients and internal teams
  • Develop and implement business development strategies to grow our State and Local tax practice
  • Serve as a mentor and coach to junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional development
  • Collaborate with clients, internal teams, and external partners to deliver high-quality services and solutions
  • Manage complex sales and use tax consulting projects, including technical research memoranda, nexus studies, and exposure quantification

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in sales and use tax consulting, preferably in a public accounting or consulting firm
  • Strong technical knowledge of sales and use tax laws, regulations, and policies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, internal teams, and external partners
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management and critical thinking skills
  • Outstanding organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments

RSM US LLP offers a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $137,700 - $276,700, as well as a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
