Job Summary


The Business Development Representative is an entry-level sales representative responsible for outreach, prospecting, and subscription renewal processing. The ideal candidate will focus on renewing current MediaLab customers in a timely manner, ensuring no lapse in current subscriptions. The representative will learn MediaLab's processes to scope client needs, discover new business opportunities, and provide the sales team with follow-up tasks. The main role will be connecting with current customers in their renewal window and proactively executing net upsells at renewal.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • The representative will focus on expanding smaller contract value current customers in their renewal window.
  • They will connect with current customers and learn about their business and needs.
  • The representative will lead the renewal process for designated customers.
  • They will execute on renewal contracts from first call to contract completion in advance of renewal dates.
  • They will educate, answer questions, and send resources to potential customers.
  • The representative will contact leads and determine who qualifies.
  • They will be evaluated on current customer expansion during the renewal process.

Qualifications

  • Previous medical laboratory or related experience preferred.
  • A commanding desire to learn and succeed in tech sales.
  • The ability to write succinct, crisp emails and a great phone manner.
  • Ability to gain deep product knowledge and continually learn new features, applications, and more.
  • Exceptional organization and time management skills.
  • Ability to work with CRM software.
