About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated Academic Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team under the leadership of our Medical Director, Dr. Fernando Cobos.

Key Highlights:

  • A flexible schedule with a 7-on, 7-off rotation and the option to transition to a 5-day week.
  • A focus on inpatient psychiatry, emergency department service, consultation/liaison service, and electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) service.
  • A collaborative clinic structure with work alongside medical directors and advanced practice providers.
  • A generous amount of time off, with 26 weeks per year.
  • Minimal overnight duties, with advanced practice providers handling most night calls.
  • The opportunity to shape the future of mental health through medical student teaching and resident supervision as we develop our residency program.

Requirements:

  • Certification: Board certified or board eligible in Psychiatry.
  • License: Eligible for NC Medical License.

  • New graduates from residency programs and/or experienced physicians with a passion for psychiatric care.
  • A background in addiction psychiatry or addiction medicine is a plus but not required.
