Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced General Manager to oversee the cafes and catering at The Perot Museum. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage a team of food service professionals to deliver high-quality dining experiences.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer satisfaction, and increase operational efficiency.
  • Manage financials, including budget development, analysis, and reporting, to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, clients, and customers to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company, government, and accrediting agency standards, regulations, and codes.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of food service professionals.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum of five years of retail operational food service management experience.
  • Good knowledge of food and catering trends, with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, marketing, and presentation.
  • P&L accountability and contract-managed service experience is desirable.
  • Multi-unit management experience is preferred.
  • Experience with cash retail operations and retail marketing is highly desirable.
  • Strong supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with management, customers, and associates at all levels.
  • Knowledge of financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational practices.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs, email, and the Internet.
