Hopkins, MN serves as the corporate headquarters for Michael Foods, Inc.

Responsibilities:


The Cybersecurity Engineer will act as a key technical resource for overseeing and executing IT security initiatives for Michael Foods, Inc. and its subsidiaries.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Identify vulnerabilities and implement technical solutions within Michael Foods' cybersecurity framework under the guidance of the Director of Cybersecurity and Infrastructure.

Serve as the escalation point for the IT team during threat and incident response activities.

Lead technical efforts during security assessments and coordinate remediation planning for penetration tests.

Provide technical oversight for the vulnerability management program.

Offer direct support to business and IT personnel for security-related inquiries and issues.

Champion the Information Security awareness initiative across the organization.

Collaborate with the Controls Engineering team to establish and uphold security measures related to Operational Technology in Michael Foods' facilities.

Assist with internal audits to ensure compliance with governmental regulations, including Sarbanes-Oxley.

Limited travel may be required for up to one week at a time, with occasional nights or weekends necessary during critical events or application testing.

Other projects and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent professional experience.

3-5 years of prior experience in an information security or cybersecurity position.


Familiarity with various information system security tools, including vulnerability scanners, endpoint detection & response solutions, anti-virus software, SIEM, log management, Zero Trust frameworks, and PKI is essential.

Experience with information security frameworks (NIST CSF, CIS20, NERC CIP, etc.).

Understanding of network security principles, including IDS, IPS, VLANs, DNS filtering, and firewall configurations.

Industry certifications from recognized organizations such as CompTIA, GIAC, CISCO, ICS2, ISACA, eLearnSecurity.

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly.

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently.

Must maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information.

Experience in project management and teamwork is required.

Familiarity with Identity management and compliance with SOX and legal standards is a plus.
