Professional Development Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled Professional Development Leader to join our team at Mass General Brigham. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the development and implementation of programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our cardiac medicine staff.
Key Responsibilities- Design, coordinate, and implement staff development programs that promote evidence-based practice and quality care.
- Partner with Nurse Directors to develop and evaluate staff performance, and participate in budgetary processes.
- Collaborate with the Associate Chief Nurse to promote a culture of safety and quality care.
- Develop and implement programs to enhance staff competence and role performance.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and promote a just culture framework.
- Lead quality and safety efforts, and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- MSN or MS with a major in Nursing, or DNP or PhD with a major in Nursing, or BSN with a Master's degree in a related field.
- Specialty certification required at the time of hire, with maintenance of certification while employed.
- Current Massachusetts licensure as a registered nurse.
- 5 years or greater of Cardiovascular/Vascular nursing experience, with a minimum of 5 years of clinical experience as a clinical nurse.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
- Expertise in evidence-based practice, writing, research, and practice development.
- Expert critical thinking skills.
- Ability to motivate self and others, and change attitudes when necessary.
This is a full-time position, with hours dependent on the program and needs of the units. Nights and weekends may be required.
AccountabilityDirect report to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, with indirect report to the Associate Chief Nursing Officer of the Center for Nursing Excellence.
