Position Overview

This role is designed to support the sales team in achieving both company and supplier objectives. Responsibilities include covering sales routes during employee absences and ensuring consistent service for each account. The position requires adherence to safety protocols and maintaining a clean work environment. The role may involve physical tasks.

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Sales Activities:
  • Enhance sales performance by effectively planning and executing daily, weekly, and monthly goals while developing a strong understanding of product offerings and competitor products.
  • Deliver compelling presentations, address inquiries, overcome objections, and provide evidence of proposals.
  • Showcase products using samples or catalogs, highlighting key features. Provide pricing and solicit orders using a current price guide.
  • Conduct sales follow-ups with customers and prospects, promoting our product brands.
  • Prepare orders, design promotional displays, and coordinate on-site marketing efforts.
Merchandising:
  • Apply in-store merchandising strategies effectively within assigned retail accounts.
  • Encourage retail partners to implement shelf management and display guidelines to optimize sales potential.
  • Utilize point-of-sale materials to enhance merchandising effectiveness.
Account Management:
  • Maintain knowledge of product offerings for each account, ensuring proper rotation, cleanliness, and stock levels.
  • Adhere to the company's professional appearance standards, projecting a positive image of the organization and its products.
  • Perform all duties safely and with consideration for oneself and others.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED preferred; one to two years of relevant experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Valid driver's license, clean driving record, proof of auto insurance, and reliable transportation are required.
  • Experience in beverage sales and/or merchandising is preferred, along with knowledge of the local market and customer service skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently.
Physical Requirements
  • Physical demands include the ability to lift and move products, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
  • Use of pallet jacks and hand carts is necessary for loading and unloading products.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, lift products, and use hands for various tasks; occasional sitting, climbing, or balancing may be necessary.
Work Environment
  • The work environment is typically moderate in noise level, with occasional high noise due to external factors.
