Job Title: Behavioral Health Counselor

We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Counselor to join our team at Providence Medical Group. As a Behavioral Health Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our patients.

Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Counselor will work in a treatment setting under clinical supervision, evaluating, diagnosing, and treating psychiatric and substance use disorders. You will collaborate with patients and their support systems to develop effective treatment plans and provide specialized psychotherapy services to reduce and resolve symptoms of psychiatric and/or substance use disorders.

Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose patients using current edition Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients and their support systems
  • Provide specialized psychotherapy services to reduce and resolve symptoms of psychiatric and/or substance use disorders
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care
Requirements:
  • Master's Degree in Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or related field
  • Oregon Professional Counselor License upon hire
  • 1 year of Master's level practicum in a behavioral health setting in an accredited college or university internship
  • Additional experience in substance use treatment setting
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2 years of post-Master's experience in a behavioral health treatment setting
  • Additional experience in substance use treatment setting
