Job Summary

Central City Concern is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Clinician to join our team at Old Town Clinic. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will provide a range of behavioral health services to patients, including urgent and ongoing support, crisis intervention, and short-term psychotherapy interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment and intervention services, including referrals, care coordination, and direct care as needed.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to advocate and support the behavioral health needs of clients.
  • Conduct evaluations, including completion of the Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9) depression scale.
  • Provide evidenced-based short-term psychotherapy interventions for patients experiencing trauma and other mental health concerns.
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication between patients, primary care providers, and other healthcare professionals to support treatment plans and goals.
  • Document all encounters according to organizational policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate treatment referrals as needed.
  • Lead behavioral health groups as scheduled.
  • Provide behavioral health triage and crisis intervention services to patients experiencing acute difficulty with mental health issues.
  • Assist clients in identifying and accessing appropriate behavioral health and social support services within CCC and in the community.
Requirements
  • Must be licensed as a Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor Associate (LPC-A), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFT-A), or Clinical Social Work Associate (CSWA).
  • Relevant Master's degree required.
  • Knowledge of system navigation, working with unhoused communities, and substance use disorders (SUDs) is essential.
  • Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor (CADC-I) certification is preferred.
  • Current CPR certification is required prior to start.
  • Minimum one-year clinical experience in a relevant setting is preferred.
  • Experience with depression and depression treatment, as well as prior exposure to brief, structured counseling techniques (e.g., CBT or PST), is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively with peers, individual clients, and groups.
  • Ability to work as a team member and establish priorities.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity and physical ability to perform assigned tasks.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in an environment where patients may be hostile or abusive.
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work courteously and effectively communicate with the general public, clients, medical personnel, social service agency personnel, corrections personnel, police, and co-workers.
