Position Overview:

Become an integral part of the Kaiser Permanente team, contributing to the delivery of exceptional healthcare services while upholding our core mission, vision, and values. As an Anesthesia Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting the healthcare team and fostering a culture of high performance. Your duties will encompass the preparation and upkeep of anesthesia equipment, ensuring patient safety, and facilitating seamless care transitions. We seek a committed individual with excellent interpersonal abilities who values teamwork and prioritizes patient welfare.

Key Responsibilities:
Adhere to performance standards. Being self-driven and safety-oriented, you will assist in the setup of equipment, monitor patient conditions, and manage supplies. Your position will involve the operation and maintenance of equipment, conducting routine inspections, and maintaining a tidy and organized workspace.Support and Training Initiatives: Participate in departmental training sessions and engage in ongoing education to refine your expertise. You will be instrumental in guiding new team members and students throughout their onboarding experience.Special Projects and Assignments: Undertake special initiatives as assigned by the Chief Anesthetist to fulfill departmental requirements. You will assist with various tasks related to anesthesia services, including line setups and device operations.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Attributes: Exhibit familiarity with clinical environments and anesthesia technology. Demonstrate the ability to perform effectively under pressure, adhere to institutional policies, and utilize relevant technologies for patient care.Minimum Qualifications: Experience
No prior experience necessary Education
Completion of an Accredited Anesthesia Technology program with an Associate's degree OR certification from the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT).High school diploma. Certification, License, Registration Certification from the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians required Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification required Basic Life Support certification required Additional Requirements:
Willingness to be available for on-call duties and weekend shifts Preferred Qualifications:
Two to three years of experience in anesthesia technologyAdvanced understanding of human anatomy and physiologyProficient in safe lifting techniques and body mechanicsAbility to work independently with strong organizational capabilitiesFamiliarity with sterile proceduresExceptional listening skills
