Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Human Resources Generalist to join our team at Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of human resources administration functions, including conducting hiring processes, recruiting, initial training, new associate orientation, administering benefits, entering associate information into the automated resource system, maintaining personnel files, providing counseling, and maintaining EEO/AA records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct hiring processes, including recruiting, interviewing, and selecting candidates
  • Administer benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee benefits
  • Enter associate information into the automated resource system
  • Maintain personnel files, including employee records, performance evaluations, and other relevant documents
  • Provide counseling and support to employees, including addressing conflicts, providing guidance, and offering resources
  • Maintain EEO/AA records, including tracking diversity and inclusion metrics
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred
  • Previous experience in HR and recruiting preferred
  • Standard computer/technology skills required
  • Reliable, accountable, punctual, and strong work ethic
  • Strong grasp of professional verbal/written communication
  • Ability to interact with a wide range of individuals in a professional manner
  • Great attention to detail
Competencies
  • Understanding of human resources administrative processes
  • Thorough understanding of standard office procedures and practices
  • Demonstrated knowledge of mathematical concepts, including computation of rates, ratios, percentages, averages, and reconciliation
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule form
  • Ability to use personal computers and office productivity software
  • Good interviewing skills
  • Ability to write original correspondence
  • Planning, organizing, and project coordination skills
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely

Working Conditions

This role requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions. The demands of the job include maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff, and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations. The employee must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey. The role requires the ability to handle multiple tasks concurrently, computer usage, handling and being exposed to sensitive and confidential information, and may require the use of a vehicle for the performance of duties.
