**Job Summary**

American Healthcare Resources is seeking a highly skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our Rehabilitation team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to perform technical work in a fast-paced environment, including operating respiratory care treatment equipment and applying inhalation therapy procedures.

**Responsibilities:**

• Perform pulmonary function testing (including spirometry, DLCO, and lung volumes) according to ATS standards.

• Calibrate, clean, maintain, and troubleshoot PFT machines according to manufacturer guidelines.

• Collect ABG samples and perform initial assessments, patient interviews, diagnostic tests or examinations to develop plans of care.

• Train and educate patients and families on proper equipment use and maintenance.

• Provide cardio-pulmonary/respiratory therapy care and treatment to patients with breathing difficulties or cardiopulmonary issues.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to diagnose, treat, and follow up with therapy patients.

**Requirements:**

• Associate Degree from a respiratory therapy education program supported by CoARC or CAAHEP.

• CRT or RRT registered by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).

• Licensed by the Alabama State Board of Respiratory Therapy.

• CPR certification required.

**Estimated Salary:** $65,000 - $85,000 per year.
