At Atrium Health Charlotte, we're seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our dynamic team in the CT department. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where no two days are ever the same.

About the Role

We're looking for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and has excellent communication skills. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for operating CT scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency.

You will examine requests and verify orders on each assigned patient, refer and question orders to the Radiologist before performing exams, and contact ordering providers when there are discrepancies. You will also properly identify patients, assist them during procedures, and prepare them for exams while documenting relevant information.

In addition to your technical skills, you will evaluate the technical quality of images, recognize abnormal anatomy, and process additional images as instructed by the Radiologist. You will also perform basic patient care functions, inform nursing personnel of any changes in patient condition, and initiate life support measures when necessary.

Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology required
  • ARRT certification in Radiology, or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine, and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire required
  • CPR certification required
