Radiologist PET CT Technologist Leader

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Area Lead PET/CT Technologist to join our team. This is a full-time position with Monday-Saturday hours and occasional Sunday coverage.
Job Description- Patient Imaging (55%):
- Screens patients before examination for any precautions or contraindications pertaining to the examination
- Performs all required PET and nuclear medicine procedures through proper positioning and technique
- Explains and prepares patients for procedures that will be performed, explaining the procedure and providing patient support
- Monitors the condition of any patient within the department and assists the radiologist as needed
- Conducts examinations with regard to patient's age, condition, or other special requirements
- Assists the radiologist during the administration of radiopharmaceuticals and practices medical and surgical aseptic procedures as required
- Recognizes allergic reactions and responds accordingly
- Prepares examination for interpretation by the radiologist
- Staff Supervision (25%):
- Ensures comprehensive knowledge of company policies, procedures, and protocols for all CT technologists
- Assists in staff planning and hiring process
- Manages overall staffing levels for adequate modality coverage
- Monitors and approves timecards
- Oversees and assists with training of new CT technologists
- Initiates and participates in staff performance evaluations
- Operations (15%):
- Maintains the PET equipment and cleans and disinfects equipment after each use
- Takes corrective action for any hazardous conditions or equipment breakdowns
- Ensures an orderly and clean work area in all modalities
- Coordinates patient relations and ensures a high quality of patient service
- Ensures compliance with state regulations and internal policies regarding documentation and tracking of safety and licensing-related items
- Other Duties (5%):
Estimated Salary: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, based on experience and location.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a PET/CT Technologist
- Current certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- A strong commitment to delivering high-quality patient care and services
