Job Summary
The CT Technologist I is responsible for performing procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards, operating CT scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency. This role requires the ability to work accurately and efficiently in periods of crisis and emergency situations where time is critical.

Essential Functions
* Examines requests and verifies orders on each assigned patient, referring and questioning orders to the Radiologist when necessary
* Properly identifies patients using two patient identifiers and assists patients while offering a brief explanation of the procedures
* Interviews patients for a complete medical history, reviewing in-patients, ER, and outpatients EMR's to obtain pertinent clinical history
* Prepares patients for the procedure with a full explanation and documents on appropriate worksheets
* Administers IV contrast according to departmental protocols and records contrast type and amount on request
* Evaluates technical quality of images and consults with a Radiologist if needed, recognizing abnormal anatomy and processing any additional reconstructed images and/or measurements as instructed
* Performs basic patient care functions, informs nursing personnel of any changes in the patient's condition, and initiates life support measures for patients when necessary

Salary and Career Advancement
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience. Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates must have a graduate degree from an accredited AMA program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology, hold current ARRT certification in Radiology (or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine), and advanced registry from the ARRT in CT scanning within one year of hire. Additionally, CPR certification is required.
