Reports To: Tooling Supervisor
Shift: Night Shift


Objective:

The CNC Machining Specialist is responsible for producing precision components by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery while adhering to quality and safety standards. This role also involves maintaining accurate records and ensuring equipment and supplies are in optimal condition.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure data integrity by confirming sign-offs on process documentation.
  • Uphold workspace organization by implementing 5S principles.
  • Document production and quality activities through logs.
  • Follow safety protocols to maintain safe operational practices.
  • Set up milling and lathe machines by installing necessary tools and attachments.
  • Monitor specifications by observing machining processes, taking measurements, and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Perform routine maintenance and address minor repairs on equipment.
  • Contribute to departmental objectives by taking responsibility for the machining workflow.

Qualifications:
  1. Education & Experience:
    1. Associate's Degree in machining or a related discipline; or a comparable combination of education and experience.
    2. High School Diploma or GED.
  2. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    1. Ability to complete assigned tasks independently and meet deadlines.
    2. Work collaboratively under the guidance of Supervisors and Foremen.
    3. Capability to develop and implement a detailed daily work plan.
    4. Strong problem-solving skills and effective time management.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a metal manufacturing setting.
  • 3-5 years of experience in machining or a related field.
  • Prior CNC operation and programming experience.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for 8 hours a day.
  • Capability to lift up to 75 lbs.
