Manufacturing Engineer Machining Specialist

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives to reduce tooling and manufacturing costs
- Collaborate with the plant team to resolve safety, quality, and throughput issues related to tooling
- Generate and implement optimized machining processes and cutting parameters
- Design and implement new systems for reconditioning and reusing tooling
- Attend regular operations and team problem-solving meetings
- Support cross-functional teams to achieve overall plant metrics
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in production machining and tooling, or a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- Strong math and problem-solving skills, with ability to read blueprints and schematics
- Proficiency with computers and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Strong interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills
