Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Site Reliability Engineer to join our Data Analytics team at Apple. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our Big Data infrastructure and analytics applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and reliable data infrastructure solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex data and application issues
  • Develop and maintain tools and processes to automate system management and data processing
  • Work with engineers to ensure the integrity and availability of analytics applications
  • Participate in the development of Apple's applications, such as Mail and Safari
Requirements
  • Experience with at least one of the following languages: Python, Ruby, Java, Scala
  • Experience with Linux systems administration
  • Passion for quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrable experience in production managing and supporting large-scale distributed Big Data applications
  • Experience with one or more of the following platforms: HDFS, Yarn, Spark, Impala, Hbase, MapReduce, Kubernetes, other cloud services
Compensation and Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,600 and $236,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple's Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
