About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Services Representative to join our team at Prisma Health. As a key member of our front office team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our physicians and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide accurate and timely patient registration, pre-certification, and charge capture services.
- Process and post payments, and balance accounts with computer reports.
- Assist patients with insurance claims, benefits, and financial agreements.
- Coordinate patient pre-payments and enforce financial agreements.
- Process and distribute billing information, and assist with outpatient coding and error resolution.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, and ensure confidentiality.
- Provide exceptional customer service and respond to patient inquiries and concerns.
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- No previous experience required, but a basic understanding of ICD-9 and CPT coding is preferred.
- Associate's degree in a technical specialty program is preferred.
Work Environment
This is a non-management role that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive. The work environment is fast-paced and requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
