Job Summary: The Inventory Control Specialist will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of inventory and timely transactions. This involves problem solving, trouble shooting, and collaboration with other team members to drive continuous improvement initiatives and exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities:

- Perform accurate and timely inventory counts and recounts as required

- Review receiving documentation for accuracy

- Resolve receiving discrepancies

- Research and resolve inventory discrepancies within level of authority

- Utilize technology to track and report material levels and location

- Train new members on work tasks

- Prepare inventory reports for Inventory Control and Receiving MDI

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- 2-year associate degree in Inventory Management, Procurement, Purchasing, or a related field - or - High School diploma, GED, with minimum 5 years relevant work experience

- Experienced with computers and Warehouse Inventory Software

- Prior experience in cycle counting and material handling

- Mathematical skill: add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

- Able to work overtime when necessary

- Language skills - English proficiency required: able to read and comprehend documents, shop drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals, short correspondence, and memos
