Job Title: Full Time Substance Abuse Counselor

At BayMark Health Services, we are committed to providing high-quality patient care in a comfortable outpatient clinic setting. We are seeking a skilled Substance Abuse Counselor to join our team.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting patients through medically assisted programs and offering techniques for handling opioid addiction. The counselor will conduct group sessions and individual sessions to assist with crisis management and coping strategies. Additionally, the counselor will evaluate patients' progress during therapy and collaborate with doctors, nurses, and therapists for patients' therapy and treatment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide individual and group counseling services
  • Direct service hours at regularly scheduled intervals
  • Coordinate all services throughout treatment
  • Respond to patient grievances and complaints
  • Develop aftercare plans and discharge plans
  • Involve families and significant others in patients' recovery process
  • Facilitate, establish, and review with each patient the initial treatment plan
Qualifications:
  • Associates and/or Bachelor in Behavioral Sciences
  • Qualifying Utah License - ASUDC, CASUDC, CASUDC-I, SUDC, CSUDC, CSUDC-I, LMHC, CMHC, LPS, LCSW, CSW, SSW, or eligible Psychology graduate working towards an SSW license
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen
