Position Overview:
At Nightwing, we are on a mission to innovate and enhance the future of aerospace technology. We are seeking a dedicated professional to take on the role of Senior Manager, Global Trade Licensing.
Role Summary:
As a key member of our Global Trade (GT) team, you will be instrumental in supporting the Power & Controls Strategic Business Unit. Your collaboration with various functional teams will be vital in promoting compliant business practices within the complex framework of export and import regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee a team of licensing experts, providing strategic guidance and managing the licensing portfolio.
- Foster professional growth and development for team members through mentorship and support.
- Develop and implement licensing strategies that facilitate business expansion.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in ITAR and EAR Export Authorizations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Prepare, submit, and manage Export Authorizations, including Licenses DSP-5, DSP-73, and other necessary agreements.
- Evaluate and approve export transactional requests related to employee travel and technical data transfers.
- Assist in investigations and assessments of potential Global Trade compliance issues.
Learning Opportunities:
- Lead a team of licensing professionals, enhancing your expertise in licensing strategies and portfolio management.
- Contribute to the improvement of compliance processes through active involvement in investigations and reviews.
Required Qualifications:
- A University Degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with at least 7 years of experience, or 14 years of relevant experience without a degree.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by applicable regulations.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in business management, international business, legal studies, or international trade.
- Experience with GTS and OCR systems.
- Proven leadership experience in managing teams.
- Background in Global Trade Licensing.
