Clinical Behavioral Therapist II

Position Overview
The role involves delivering both direct and indirect therapeutic services to clients and their families through individual, group, and family counseling. This includes conducting comprehensive bio-psychosocial evaluations, risk assessments, and formulating treatment plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The candidate will remain receptive to clinical and peer supervision processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver direct and indirect clinical services to clients and families utilizing a variety of established therapeutic modalities, including biopsychosocial assessments, diagnostic evaluations, and aftercare services.
- Engage in the development, planning, and execution of therapeutic programs, focusing on quality enhancement, patient satisfaction, compliance with regulations, and relevant policies and procedures.
- Create personalized treatment plans with measurable objectives that address the client's specific challenges. Actively participate as a member of the multidisciplinary treatment team.
- Manage case responsibilities related to client care, including Utilization Review, Discharge Planning, Family Engagement/Education, and ensuring timely and accurate documentation.
- Serve as a team leader and resource for staff, providing supervision to graduate students in a field instructor or site supervisor capacity.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position does not include management responsibilities and will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field in human services.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in providing direct counseling services within a behavioral health environment (hospital or community agency experience preferred).
Licensure Requirements
Must hold a current license as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) as recognized by the relevant state board.
Alternative Qualifications
Employees in this role prior to specific changes in requirements may be grandfathered under previous educational and experience standards. Additionally, employees must be eligible for certification and will have a designated timeframe to obtain the necessary credentials.
Essential Skills and Experience
- Proficient in group, individual, and family therapy techniques, with strong skills in psychiatric assessment and treatment planning.
- Excellent oral and written communication abilities; adept at interpersonal interactions across various professional disciplines.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications and the use of electronic medical records.
