Senior CPU Design Engineer

NVIDIA Corporation is in search of a Senior CPU Design Engineer to spearhead the design and development of cutting-edge CPUs and SoCs. The CPU team at NVIDIA is eager to welcome inquisitive and driven engineers with a wealth of experience to create revolutionary CPU architectures. As a senior member of our design team, you will take charge of the design and implementation of high-performance, energy-efficient CPU sub-system modules. Collaboration with architects, design engineers, verification engineers, and physical design engineers will be key to achieving your objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the micro-architecture development, conduct feasibility studies, and document CPU sub-systems.
  • Implement designs in RTL and coordinate with the verification team to ensure functional integrity.
  • Utilize logic design expertise to optimize performance, timing, and power consumption.
  • Deliver a synthesis/timing clean design while collaborating with the physical design team to ensure a routable and physically realizable design.
  • Support hardware engineering tasks including chip floor planning, power/clock distribution, chip assembly, timing closure, power and noise analysis, and back-end verification.
  • Develop necessary flows and tools to support design activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Over 6 years of demonstrated experience in micro-architecture and RTL development of complex, high-speed designs, particularly in CPU subsystems.
  • Familiarity with Computer Architecture and Digital Systems design.
  • Proficient in logic design, Verilog and/or System-Verilog, with a strong understanding of physical design and VLSI.
  • Competence in scripting languages such as Perl and Python.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The base salary range is 164,000 USD - 356,500 USD, determined by your location, experience, and the compensation of peers in similar roles. Additionally, you will be eligible for equity and benefits.
