Key Responsibilities:


Collaborate with cross-functional teams during the development of new products to identify and mitigate potential reliability and quality challenges early in the design phase.

Establish and oversee the execution of reliability requirements to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.

Design and implement strategies that incorporate Design for Reliability (DfR) principles, including reliability plans, testing protocols, and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) along with reliability assessments.

Work closely with New Product Introduction (NPI) teams to perform system and component-level reliability evaluations, including warranty analysis, reliability forecasting, and validation testing to assess the design and performance of capital equipment.

Lead initiatives to enhance the reliability culture within the organization by applying industry-standard practices, methodologies, and tools for reliability engineering.

Drive continuous improvement efforts to elevate product quality and reliability, collaborating closely with engineering, manufacturing, service, and quality teams.

Conduct thorough root cause analyses and implement corrective measures for reliability and quality challenges, ensuring effective resolution and preventing recurrence through advanced problem-solving techniques (8D, 5-Why, Kepner Tregoe).

Mentor and educate engineering team members on quality methodologies such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), FMEAs, and problem-solving approaches.

Support Quality Assurance and ISO processes as required.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline; advanced degree is preferred.
Experience:
5+ years of proven expertise in reliability engineering of complex systems or capital equipment, preferably within the semiconductor sector.
Certifications such as Reliability Engineer (CRE) or Quality Engineer (CQE) are advantageous.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Demonstrated experience in fostering a design for reliability culture and implementing standardized processes for reliability engineering.
Proficient in problem-solving and risk management tools (e.g., 8-D, CAPA, Kepner-Tregoe, 5-Why, Fishbone Diagram).
Strong understanding of quality assurance principles.
Familiarity with quality standards such as ISO 9001.
Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with global, multi-functional teams.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) and data analysis tools (e.g., JMP, Reliasoft).
Domestic Travel: > 10%.
