Computed Tomography Technologist Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at Travel Nurse Across America. As a CT Tech, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and quality of computed tomography scans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Confirm patient identification and review imaging requests to ensure accurate and safe scanning procedures.
  • Explain imaging procedures to patients and provide reassurance and support as needed.
  • Correctly interpret doctors' written instructions and position patients for scanning.
  • Operate computerized tomography equipment to capture diagnostic images of patients' internal organs and tissues.
  • Administer radiocontrast agents to enhance image visibility and evaluate CT scans for technical quality.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and understand the McKesson PACS system.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience as a CT Tech.
  • ARRT (CT) National Certification with registration in computed tomography.
  • State-specific licensing when required.
  • BLS certification.

As a CT Tech, you should be able to stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, or stoop easily. You must have a sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

Additional Requirements:

  • ARRT (R) certification.
  • 2 years of experience.

Please note that additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
