Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform diagnostic CT exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Verify patient identity and review medical records for appropriateness of exam or procedure.
  • Interview patients to obtain, verify, or update medical history and assess risk factors.
  • Explain procedures to patients, including risks, benefits, and alternatives.
  • Set up equipment and acquire images as per script, ensuring optimal image quality.
  • Review images, make initial observations, and document exceptions from established protocols.
  • Communicate data to radiologists and recognize/respond to medical emergencies as appropriate.
  • Provide post-care instructions to patients and participate in process improvement activities within radiology practice.
  • May perform duties of a Radiologic Technologist as needed.
Requirements:
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support - Healthcare Provider (BLS) training required.
  • One or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in Radiology or advanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
