Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Specialist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Computed Tomography Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Imaging Services: Perform diagnostic CT exams utilizing appropriate imaging equipment, ensuring accurate and high-quality images.
  • Patient Care: Verify patient identity, review medical records, and assess risk factors to ensure safe and effective imaging procedures.
  • Communication: Explain procedures to patients, including risks and benefits, and provide post-care instructions.
  • Quality Assurance: Participate in process improvement activities, including quality of care, patient flow, and reject-repeat analysis.
  • Education: Provide imaging education to residents, student technologists, and new employees.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology (R) or Computed Tomography (CT) preferred.
  • Experience: One or more years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) in Radiology or advanced certification in Computed Tomography (CT).
  • Skills: Analytical and clinical skills, interpersonal and communication skills, technical knowledge, and ability to work effectively in a complex environment.
