Job Overview

The Senior Manager of Customer Supply Chain Operations is accountable for overseeing operational management, safety protocols, financial performance, and customer engagement for multiple clients across various warehouse sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and nurture relationships with clients at both regional and corporate levels, ensuring operational excellence and value delivery.
  • Represent Ryder in client meetings and presentations, including conducting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR).
  • Forecast, strategize, and manage assigned accounts to achieve specified financial objectives, implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Direct operations to consistently meet or surpass internal and external Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), leading accounts during peak periods and special initiatives.
  • Identify growth opportunities with existing clients and engage in business development activities for new partnerships.
  • Promote a safety-first culture within operations, ensuring compliance with annual safety benchmarks.
  • Facilitate the application of Ryder's Lean Guiding Principles, fostering a culture of ongoing improvement.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor Group Logistics Managers (GLM) I and II to fulfill the requirements of their roles within assigned accounts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, supply chain, or a related field; or an additional two years of relevant experience.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • A minimum of eight years of logistics or supply chain experience across multiple locations.
  • At least five years of demonstrated experience in developing and executing comprehensive logistics solutions.
  • Six years of experience in managing and leading direct reports.
  • Experience in managing large, multi-level teams for a minimum of six years.
  • Five years of P&L responsibility, including financial forecasting and target management.
  • Preferred experience in implementing a LEAN work environment for at least five years.
  • Four years of managing customer KPIs and relationships.
  • Experience in delivering presentations to customers and senior management preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation offered to candidates may vary based on factors such as relevant experience, education, work location, and market data. This position may also be eligible for an annual bonus, commission, and/or long-term incentive plan.
