Job Title: Healthcare Construction Superintendent

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Healthcare Construction Superintendent to join our team. As a key member of our construction management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of healthcare facilities, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all stages of project life cycle, from pre-construction to completion.
  • Coordinate and supervise construction activities on the job site.
  • Ensure compliance with design specifications, ACHA standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and maintain safety protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for all site personnel.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues or delays promptly.
  • Liaise with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Lead, train, and mentor junior staff, promoting a culture of teamwork and continuous learning.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure their work is performed according to the project plan.
  • Resolve any conflicts or disputes that may arise during the construction process.
  • Prepare and submit regular progress reports to senior management.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Superintendent in the construction industry, with a focus on healthcare projects.
  • Proven experience in managing ground-up construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of ACHA standards and guidelines.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in using construction management software.
  • A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM) or Certified Professional Constructor (CPC) would be an asset.
  • A strong commitment to safety and a proven track record in maintaining safe work environments.
  • The ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
