Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Superintendent to oversee multiple utility crews and direct project activities for Quality Enterprises USA, Inc.

The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising field personnel, maintaining project quality, and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily supervision and scheduling for crews.
  • Direct field personnel to complete projects on time, within budget, and at high levels of quality.
  • Oversee field personnel, monitor daily and weekly schedules, identify and solve problems, and report any issues.
  • Plan and coordinate construction activities, including work with other company superintendents and subcontractors.
  • Coordinate equipment, trucks, and crews to maximize efficiency.
  • Maintain open communication with project managers.
  • Document jobsite details and report daily progress.
  • Attend project-related meetings to discuss progress and public impact.
  • Ensure crews are maintaining organized and clean job sites.
  • Promote job site safety, encourage safe work practices, and rectify job site hazards immediately.
  • Enforce the company's safety program to achieve safety objectives.
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, inspectors, and other employees.
  • Assist engineers and estimators as needed in pursuit of new or additional work.
  • Display leadership in accordance with company values and objectives.
Requirements
  • Combined education and experience required:
    • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or similar field along with five (5) years of experience in the field of major heavy highway or bridge construction including at least three (3) years of experience as a foreman or superintendent, or
    • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) along with ten (10) years of experience in the field of major heavy highway or bridge construction including at least three (3) years of experience as a foreman or superintendent, or
    • An equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with project management and/or construction software.
  • Proficient in O365 and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Valid Florida class E driver license with acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • This position will require prolonged periods of time working outdoors with exposure to all weather conditions.
